This giclée print is taken from my original oil painting on linen canvas.
A lot of us are filled with anxiety as it seems that our world is once again on the edge of dark times. This painting reminds us that though we face uncertain events, we still have hope, and our hope is in God and within ourselves.
Eastern Bluebird: Return of Happiness is immersed in a rainbow of colors that serve as a painterly expression of faith that there is something better ahead on this long and arduous journey toward happiness. Look to the rainbow here as a bridge that serves as a comforting companion. The bluebird should be recognized, as it is in many cultures— as a symbol of hope, cheerfulness, prosperity, progress, good health, and renewal coming your way. The meaning of the color blue is open spaces, freedom, intuition, peace and to keep the negative energy away; bluebirds are also said to live up to their name in this regard.
When viewing this piece, I hope it’s perceived as a symbol of joy and happiness to come in the future. I hope it reminds you of the beauty of the nature around you. You should enjoy nature and all the beautiful things that you have in your life. Reach over the rainbow and feel the magic. May the bluebird of happiness always reside within you.
It's only with stillness and tranquility that we find determination. There will be plenty of marshes and ponds to wade through in life. But to see that fish and to take that next great step requires a clear mind, positive attitude, and gentle spirit to ensure success.
When viewing this piece, I hope you reflect on the spirit of the heron. Like all of my bird guides, it seeks to teach you a lesson on the power of precision. When you do something with precision, you also achieve a high level of effectiveness. Because like one uses a knife to cut away excess, you do the same when you carve out a clear idea. You must trim the fat of distraction and negativity to cut to the heart of what truly matters.
When you don’t, you waste effort and energy, you conserve your energy. You save time. I hope the heron helps you to start valuing the art of being patient to get what you want. It’s an active kind of patience that makes you take opportunities instead of expecting the answer to come to your doorstep. It's one thing to receive but it's another thing to facilitate your own success.
To see a great blue heron dreamily stand motionless at the water's edge in the golden glow of the early morning is a magical sight. It's the intersection of patience, determination, and tranquility and I hope you always feel the magic.
